How to prepare used shoes
for eBay in batches.
Treat each pair as a small inventory record, then move the batch through the same repeatable steps.
1. Separate intake from listed stock
Put a unique SKU card beside each pair and choose a storage bin. Two identical models still need separate SKUs when they are separate physical pairs.
2. Inspect before photographing
Check both size labels, soles, uppers, heels, repairs, odors, accessories, and box. Note observations explicitly. A photo or AI suggestion cannot establish authenticity.
3. Capture in a fixed sequence
Photograph sides, uppers, soles, labels, heels, defects, and included box/accessories. Keep the original photos. Group uploads by physical pair in the preparation workspace, then check every group so evidence stays together.
4. Review only supported facts
Confirm size and system from the label. Leave unsupported model details out. Enter the actual condition and asking price. Do not change worn footwear to new or conceal marks in image edits.
5. Finish the ready items
For a 25-pair batch with 22 complete records and three missing label photos, export the 22 reviewed records and leave the other three for correction. Toekyn’s CSV is a field sheet; finish platform-specific fields and original-photo uploads on eBay.
6. Reconcile listings and orders
Record each listing URL. On sale, reserve the pair and use the actual eBay order’s address, deadline, and shipping instructions. Check whether eBay supplies a route through an authenticator. Never infer the route from price alone.
7. Close the loop
Match SKU to order before packing. Track shipment, payout, fees, and returns separately. Reinspect a returned pair before relisting.
